Its January 27th, all the windows are open, and we are spending our morning doing this. Just wanted to make all my sisters up North jealous =)

Out of all my children, he is the only one who has taken a liking to lip stick. Especially when the lipstick in hidden in the bottom of a purse.

Just Like Daddy

Where are you going bud?

play daddy

Silly me thought he was on his way to find daddy to play with him.  As I went after him to tell him daddy was at work, I discovered what he really wanted to do.Play daddy = pretend to be daddy. Can you tell what Brent does every morning of his life?

Worth Watching

Have you seen the new video yet? You won’t be disappointed!

check out Northwood Worship Site

The little man sure has enjoyed it!

Family Fun

After a week of doing nothing but watching TV and letting the kids recover from Strep, UTI’s, and bronchiolitis, we got up from naps on Saturday, threw the kids in the car, and went out for some much needed release of energy.
Skating rinks may be dirty and crowded, but man are they a lot of fun!

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe:

“I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous.

I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized.

If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.”

Sweet Hearts

If the baby is set down, you can bet you’ll find my kids on either side of her.Especially the little man.  He is this little princess’s body guard. He has spent the afternoon trying to get her to say the word “nose” and “bug” while showing her pictures of bugs and pointing out their noses. Nothing warms your heart like watching your kids love other kids wholeheartedly.

Friday Fun

Guess what we got for Christmas??!!!!!Here’s a hint…its a place where you can go on a dinosaur dig measure some bonespretend you’re a doctorand mommy can sit inside with the baby while the kids play water fights outside with daddy (

I won’t even try to pretend that I was sad to miss out on the outside water fun…sometimes having a baby around to give you an excuse to sit inside is really nice.  Do I sound lazy? (Oh,  and no we didn’t have another baby.  We just pretend during the week while this sweet little bundle hidden in the stroller’s mommy goes to school.  If you could see her grin, you would understand while the Minter clan is smitten by this little 4 month old!) All of that fun equals season passes to the Museum of Science and History.  We love this present so much, Brent and I are going to the adult only event at the museum tomorrow night.  Anyone else get season passes for Christmas and want to join us for a little date night? =)

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

This was us, taking the kids to the top of a mountain, in Oklahoma, in December, while it was sleeting and windy.  Most of us enjoyed the experience. Guess which one hated it.

The Week After

After a couple days of playing with cousins, raking 42 bags worth of leaves, making a gingerbread house, and just plain enjoying being with family, we left Brent’s dad’s house in Duncan and took off for Brent’s mom’s house in Clinton, OK. On the way, we made a quick stop at Great Grandma’s house in Chickasha. At nap time, we loaded the kids up, prayed they would sleep in the car, and drove the rest of the way to Clinton. I have now seen more of Oklahoma than I ever wanted to. Although, I do have to admit, the sky is pretty amazing in Oklahoma. Not sure why it is more beautiful than anywhere else, but even the kids ooohed and awed over it!We had such a great time in Clinton and truly can’t wait to go back. Thanks for all the fun, food, conversation, and relaxing! We came home ready to tackle the enormous amounts of toys we now need to sort through. I see some trips to a shelter in our future…

If you want to see the rest of our pictures from the week, click on the picture below…as usual, there are a lot of them and they all have captions…I can’t help myself.
